O curso pretende estimular o processo criativo e a reflex\u00e3o sobre imagens por meio da t\u00e9cnica fotogr\u00e1fica chamada Goma-Ar\u00e1bica ou Goma Bicromatada.\u00a0Inventado no s\u00e9culo XIX, o processo geraimagens com aspecto de gravura ou de impress\u00e3o off-set com qualidade art\u00edstica. A t\u00e9cnica \u00e9 baseada no princ\u00edpio de que qualquer superf\u00edcie \u00e9 sens\u00edvel a luz. Atrav\u00e9s de uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o feita com bicromato de pot\u00e1ssio, aquarela e goma ar\u00e1bica, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel gravar imagens em diversos suportes, o que permite que participantes criem e experimentem novos conceitos visuais dentro da fotografia.<\/p>\n

This workshop aims to encourage the creative process and the reflection on images through the photographic technique known as Gum Arabic or Gum Bichromate.\u00a0Created on the 19th century, this process generates images with the appearance of engravings or off-set prints with artistic quality. The technique is based on the precept that any surface is sensible to light. By means of a potassium bichromate solution, watercolors and gum arabic, it is possible to engrave images in a variety of props, which allows attendees to create and try out new visual concepts in photography.<\/span><\/p>\n

David Magila \u00e9 formado pelo Instituto de Artes da UNESP e \u00e9 editor do grupo art\u00edstico Base-V, pelo qual participou de v\u00e1rias exposi\u00e7\u00f5es como\u00a0Programa de Exposi\u00e7\u00f5es 2012<\/i>\u00a0MARP \u2013 Museu de Arte de Ribeir\u00e3o Preto, SP (2012) e\u00a0Graphias \u2013 do papel ao pixel<\/i>\u00a0\u2013 Galeria Marta Traba \u2013 Memorial da America Latina, SP (2010). Magila tem no seu curr\u00edculo diversos cursos de especializa\u00e7\u00e3o como \u201cLitografia\u201d, na Escola de Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o e Artes (ECA\/USP), com Cristy Wyckoff, professor titular e chefe do departamento de Artes da PNCA (EUA), e \u201cAnota\u00e7\u00f5es para uma Hist\u00f3ria da Estampa no Ocidente\u201d, na p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o ECA\/USP, com o professor Claudio Mubarac.
