Mauricio Lissovsky

Mauricio Lissovsky é Historiador, doutor em Comunicação pela ECO/UFRJ, pesquisador do Núcleo IDEA. Dedica-se particularmente à fotografia (teoria, linguagem e história). Atualmente desenvolve,em cooperação com a professora Beatriz Jaguaribe, o projeto “Obra Getuliana: Fotografia pública e modernização do olhar no Brasil”. Também é roteirista de Cinema e TV e entre seus trabalhos mais recentes estão os longa-metragens “Seja o que Deus quiser” (Murilo Salles, ficção, 2003) e “A Pessoa é para o que nasce” (Roberto Berliner, documentário, 2004).

Mauricio Lissovsky is a historian, has a doctorate in Communication from the ECO/UFRJ, and is a researcher at the Núcleo IDEA. He is particularly dedicated to photography (theory, language and history), and is currently developing, in cooperation with professor Beatriz Jaguaribe, the project “Obra Getuliana: Fotografia pública e modernização do olhar no Brasil” (“Public Photography and the Modernization of Viewing in Brazil). He also writes screenplays for film and television, his most recent works including the full-length films “Seja o que Deus quiser” (Murilo Salles, fiction, 2003) and “A Pessoa é para o que nasce” (Roberto Berliner, documentary, 2004).
